OH SEW KOOL was created by a Sydney based mum Anita, nicknamed Handeela who graduated her fashion and millinery courses at TAFE NSW.
Anita has more than 30 years sewing and crafting experience. She first started her DIY sewing tutorials on YouTube in 2020. Her YouTube Channel called Handeela Mammy has both local and overseas fans.
Anita has created sewing kits, patterns, sewing projects that suitable for beginners and anyone who loves to explore their creativity.
Sewing can be very sustainable and therapeutic. Oh Sew Kool aims to teach people to make their garments, mend their clothes, up-cycling old clothes and to create kool stuff in general. This skill not only helps the environment but also helps individuals to focus whilst mentally being relaxed.
Kids can join too!
Oh Sew Kool not only provides adult classes but also children classes which are easy, inclusive and accessible. Oh Sew Kool offers sewing tutorials that are suitable for children to learn to sew in a safe and fun environment. Guided through demonstration, your kids can learn basic sewing machine skills, sewing buttons, hand stitching techniques using a step by step child friendly instruction. Who knows it might be a platform for a future fashion designer!
